A Ryton man's survived a mid air collision which killed a father and son on the Isle of Wight.
The 32 year old suffered only minor injuries in the crash during a race on the island on Saturday afternoon.
73 year old Michael Willis and his 42 year old son James died when their aircraft broke up and crashed into woodland.
