Health bosses have confirmed long-awaited work to bring a new GP surgery to Brownsover's been delayed.
Patients there have been waiting more than two years for a new facility to replace the now closed building on Bow Fell.
Work had been due to start this Autumn and completed by next summer, but it will now start in January and be done by the end of 2018.
A statement from Coventry & Rugby CCG said, “All partners remain fully committed to this vital project and are focussed on steering it through the final approval processes needed to ensure taxpayer money is spent wisely.
“This is a complex process and a revised timescale is now in place, which means local people should see contractors arriving on site in January 2018, with the new facility due to welcome its first patients by the end of 2018.
“We will continue to work closely with Brownsover Patient Action Group and other local partners and look forward to the opening of a new facility that will bring improved access and an enhanced range of services to local patients.”
