Ah the benefits of a week off from work, I’m relaxed, chilled out and peaceful, a far cry from the commotion of the breakfast show and the non stop humdrum of radio, early alarm calls and commuting to work six days a week for some of us. I’m not complaining but it’s so nice to unwind and spend some good quality time with the duvet… Ah! Spring is in the air, along with autumn this has to be the most magical time of the year? The first sign of life is creeping back into the ground; crocuses and daffodils are edging their way up through the ground and Rugby is about to be transformed into a flurry of life and colour again. I have a number of lovely days out planned now that the sun is shining for longer and we’ve hopefully seen the back of all that wintry snow and ice. Picnics in the afternoon by the lake at Fawsley park, walks around Draycote Water in the sunshine and barbeques in the back garden with the family, sipping Rose wine. You see what a week off has done to me? I’ve gone all poetic and floopy! I just hope I can crank back into the breakfast show this week?
