The good news! It's half way through the week already and we are hurtling towards another weekend. I've managed to get Lise-Ann to come to the Duxford Air show this Sun - the Red Arrows, the Eurofighter typhoon and the battle of Britain fly over, Spitfires, Hurricaines and Lancaster bombers... Yey! Do I know how to treat a lady or what?
The bad news! I have to start organising the Christmas Lights switch-on show in the town centre in November... 'Choir Idol' is back and this year we want to 'Glee' it up. So get in touch if you're in the school choir and want to star on the Rugby FM roadshow stage. Are you in the best school choir in Rugby? If so proove it and get in touch...

The Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning is coming and thousands of people around our area will be raising a cup and putting a smile on their mug. If you're planning a coffee morning, let us know when and where it will be - we'd love to pop along... but only if you save us a cake! For info go to the home page on the website.

This Saturday we are out and about again at the Rugby Theatre Open Day from 10am and we'll be broadcasting live from the new look theatre from 9am. I will be broadcasting the Saturday Brunch show from 9 -12pm with a chance to win tickets to forthcoming shows. Come and have a look around at the new auditorium, which has been totally refurbished for a fresh new look. Bring the kids for face painting, competitions, fun, & refreshments. You can also pick up tickets from the box office for Ghost Train...opening on September 25th.

NEWSPAPERS...
Many of the papers open with excerpts from Tony Blair's memoirs.
Mail... Attacks Mr Blair's memoirs as his "self-serving justification of the Iraq War" and says he will anger families of victims by saying he has shed tears for the dead.
Guardian... In an interview with the paper, Mr Blair says he knew Gordon Brown's leadership would mean Labour could not win the 2010 General Election.
Express... Houses have risen in value by up to 91p a day in the past year, according to Britain's biggest mortgage lender. The surge of property prices will reassure millions of home owners worried by reports suggesting the housing market faces a dramatic collapse.
Mirror... Backs David Miliband to be the next leader of the Labour party, saying he has the intellect, talent and experience to take on the Tories.
Rugby Advertiser... A member of staff at a service station in Dunchurch was threatened with a gun during an attempted armed robbery. At around 10pm on Thursday last week, a masked man threatened a member of staff at the Dunchurch Service Station with a long barrelled pistol.

SHOWBIZ NEWS...
Singer Katy Perry is Simon Cowell's number one target to be a judge on the X-Factor when it launches in the US. He was reportedly very happy with her performance at the Dublin auditions, but it's believed they'd have to pay her £220,000 a show. Jennifer Lopez was also being considered.

Pretty Woman actress Julia Roberts has been photographed on a beach with hairy armpits, more than a decade on from the famous Notting Hill premiere in London where she sported the same look. The 42 year old is on holiday in Hawaii with cameraman husband Danny Moder.
Do you have an issue with hairy armpits? I'm alright with it.
