Are you a hopeless romantic? I'm looking for the ultimate romantic in Rugby... What's the most romantic thing you've ever done for your partner? Your partner done for you? Would you get excited if I took you to the Duxford Airshow on Sunday? I'm taking Lise-Ann to the Duxford Air show - They'll be Red Arrows, the Eurofighter Typhoon and battle of Britain fly over with Spitfires, Hurricaines and Lancaster bombers... Do I know how to treat a lady or what?
Then I thought next week, as Lise-Ann is a travel girl, I'll take her along the entire length of the Western Relief Road which opens the north section of the road next week, ahead of the October schedule. Do you think the relief road will ease traffic congestion in the town centre?
The Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning is coming and thousands of people around our area will be raising a cup and putting a smile on their mug. If you're planning a coffee morning, let us know when and where it will be - we'd love to pop along... but only if you save us a cake!
The Rugby Theatre Open Day takes place this Saturday 4th September from 10am and we'll be broadcasting live from the new look theatre from 9am. I will be broadcasting the Saturday Brunch show from 9 -12pm with a chance to win tickets to forthcoming shows. Come and have a look around at the new auditorium, which has been totally refurbished for a fresh new look. Bring the kids for face painting, competitions, fun, & refreshments. You can also pick up tickets from the box office for Ghost Train...opening on September 25th.

SHOWBIZ NEWS...
Stars of the hit TV show Glee are to get the Simpsons treatment. Some of the characters, including Rachel, Mercedes and Finn, will get the cartoon's famous yellow look to appear in the first episode its 22nd season. The episode will be called Elementary School Musical and sees Lisa getting hooked on the showbiz lifestyle at a summer performing arts camp.
Corrie will broadcast another live episode as part of plans to celebrate the soap's 50th anniversary. The anniversary week will see a tram crash on to the street - it's thought this live episode will deal with the aftermath of the devastating accident. Coronation Street previously celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2000 by broadcasting an hour-long live episode.
