WE GOT A WINNER!
The BRITs are coming and Rugby FM has tickets to the UK’s most exciting Awards ceremony in London. The best of British and international music will be celebrated at the O2 Arena on February 21st and you could be there! Rihanna will be performing with Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Blur, Jessie J, Oli Murs and Adele and plenty more all live on stage - What a gig!

We played the Brit's 'Bit of a Hit' on this morning's show. Well done to Steve Vassell in Rugby and Amber Collings in Dunchurch, they're off to the Brits courtsey of Rugby FM! Congratulations guys, have a great night!

TODAY'S BIG STORIES...
Express... Health officials were on standby last night to take emergency action as a killer winter blast hits Britain. The bitterly cold weather will see temperatures plunge to -12C today while tomorrow will bring up to four inches of snow. The Government is preparing to issue a severe Level 4 cold alert because of the risk to life.(The Express)

Rugby Advertiser... Concerns for shopping in Rugby: IT was confirmed this week that Bonmarche in Rugby will close. The store is one of dozens across the country due to close down after going into administration last month. Bella’s Boutqiue in the Clock Towers has also said it is closing down and relocating to Coventry.

Showbiz... Madonna says it's a dream come true to perform at the Super Bowl half-time show this weekend. But the star has admitted that she's feeling a little bit nervous because of the huge live television audience. Last year's event attracted one hundred and eleven million viewers.


NEWS IN RUGBY'S...
With temperatures plunging below freezing across Warwickshire Police are warbning us nopt to leave our endgines running whilst defrosting our car, it will invalidate your car insurance! As well as making it easy for thieves to steal, the force is also warning that leaving a car 'ticking over' while unattended is actually a crime under the Road Traffic Act. Officers say victims of thefts have not only have they lost their car, they could have also invalidated their insurance.
