It's amazing how ones life can be so varied in the space of just 7 days..

On Tuesday I was so fortunate to host the fabulous 'New Year, New You' evening at Stratford Armouries. It really was a wonderful night, with everything from surgical proceedures, hair demonstrations and fashion show to the un-veiling of Claire Evenden....the lucky listener who received a life-chaging makeover courtosy of Stratford Dermatherapy Clinic, Umberto Giannini and Studio 34. When she stood on that stage looking a million dollars, there was not a dry eye in the house...including mine; in fact one of the most emotional things I've had to do since being on radio is reading out the letter that her sister sent to us to say why she deserved to be chosen.

From the sublime to the ridiculous....after a positive week, the weekend was a negative for me. You'd think with all the freezing conditions all those vile little winter germs would have been killed off, but OH NO, they're still alive and kicking and attacking me. Well, it could have been food poisoning, but I don't want to think that it was that delicious risotto that made me feel so rotton.

Anyway, onwards and upwards....literally as I'm jetting off to Tunisia on Sunday!
