Each local commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.

‘Local’ news is produced ‘in-house’ and is mostly made up of local items but also incorporates the main national/international stories at the time. ‘National’ news bulletins are presented by Sky News Radio in London.
*At 1800 & 1900 weekdays and during weekends, Rugby FM shares a network news bulletin covering the West/South Midlands.
