These rules apply for all competitions where the prize may have a purchase or deemed value in excess of £ 50.00.
Unless otherwise stated on air all contestants must be over 18 years of age.
Unless otherwise stated on air contestants can enter each CN Radio competition only once.
Unless otherwise stated on air all contestants chosen are those who have called the station during the competition period and are chosen at random by the presenter in line with the advertised promotion of the competition.
The competition will run until the competition has been completed this will be advertised on air. CN Radio reserves the right not to give away any prize if no winner is found.
Unless otherwise stated on air, there is only one prize per competition and all prizes are offered in good faith. It is recognized that at times genuine mistakes can occur. If a mistake has occurred, then the management, in its sole discretion can either award the prize to the person(s) who in their view was the original winner of the competition or alternately ask the contestants to play again on a ‘head to head’ basis. When instances like this occur, CN Radio will not provide a runner up prize.
Prizes offered by CN Radio are in most cases provided to the company by a third party or sponsor. At the end of the competition the liability passes from CN Radio to the sponsor for the deliverance of the prize offered. If the sponsor or third party thereafter cannot deliver the product or prize due to liquidation or similar, CN Radio IS NOT liable for its provision.
Employees and relatives of CN Radio or any of the co-sponsors of the competition are not eligible to enter this competition.

CN Radio reserves the right to alter or amend these rules at any time and to suspend the competition or cancel the competition at any time.
Unless otherwise stated on air there is no cash alternative to the advertised prizes and any prize is strictly non-transferable.
Failure to gain access to competitions due to technical difficulties engaged phone lines or for any other reason is not the responsibility of CN Radio.
Copyright in the on-air broadcast and any photographs or images or audio of winners remains the property of CN Radio.
By entering competitions all contestants agree to be used in publicity, on air promotion and by any means deemed fit for the promotion of the station.
No correspondence will be entered into regarding competitions. The CN Radio representitive decision is final.
Any contestant entering competitions on CN Radio giving false or misleading information will be disqualified and any prizes won will be withdrawn. This includes, but is not limited to, name, address, telephone numbers and details of previously won prizes.

Contest Rules – Beat The Bid – Reverse Auction

The following Terms and Conditions shall apply to the contest known as Beat The Bid-Reverse Auction in conjunction with any specific terms and conditions published as part of CN Radio’s general contest rules, and in conjunction with the auction terms and conditions listed below.

a) All bids must be received by text message to 81716 . Texts cost £1.50 plus any network provider rate You may bid any number of times, to a limit of 500 bids, any bids above that level will invalidate all bids from that mobile. Each entry will require an additional entry fee, previous entry fees will not be refunded.
b) The auction item offered is as advertised on air, no cash equivalent is available, but the right is reserved to substitute the item offered for a similar item of equivalent value. Auction items and/or prizes are strictly non-transferable.
c) The item will be sold to the lowest unique bid, subject to all conditions being met, the successful bidder agrees to purchase the auctioned item for that price.
d) bid is only successful if we receive it before the competition closing and confirmation is sent, and received by the entrant with a valid reference number. All bids must have the permission of the bill payer, and proof of payment is required.
e) You must be able to prove ownership of the mobile phone used to bid, and quote the reference number for the lowest unique bid.
f) You must be available to be contacted on the phone used to make the lowest unique bid, at the time the auction closes. If we are unable to contact the lowest unique bidder within 60 minutes, we reserve the right to award the auction item to the next lowest bidder.
g) Entrants agree that by entering “Beat The Bid’ they agree to publicity should their bid be successful.
h) The successful bidder will be contacted or confirmed by letter no later than twenty-eight days of the auction closing.
i) Beat the Bid – Reverse Auction is a promotion on stations of the CN Radio Group.
j) The CN Radio group’s decision will be final and no correspondence entered into.
k) Prizes offered by CN Radio, are in most cases provided to the company by a third party or sponsor. In those cases you must comply with any requirement imposed by the third party or sponsor. Should you fail to do so, CN Radio reserves the right in its absolute discretion to invalidate your bid.

All participants in any CN group radio competition or promotion will be deemed to have understood these rules, and to be bound by them. All participants in the competition shall accept and enter into the competition or promotion subject to these terms and conditions and our general contest terms and conditions.

Reverse Auction- Specific Terms and conditions

1. How it Works

1.1 Entrants choose the lowest price that they believe no one else will offer and enter it as a bid. Eg £21.99 would be (Keyword) (space) 2199.
1.2 Once the preset allotted time period has passed, the auction will then automatically be drawn, the lowest unmatched (i.e. unique) bid can then purchase the item for the price they offered.
1.3 As soon as one auction is closed another may be opened. Marketing via on air promotion or database marketing via SMS will be used to drive traffic to the new auction.

2. Eligibility & Sealed Nature of bids

2.1 All information concerning bid levels is kept secret for the duration of the auction in question and will not be disclosed to any member of the public until the auction has closed.
2.2 We will make the results of the auction available as soon as the lowest unique bidder is confirmed, or at the time advertised.
2.3 In order to participate entrants must be over 18 years old and be able to form a legally binding contract. If they do not qualify under these Terms and Conditions they are not eligible to participate. We reserve the right to invalidate an entry if we find that a winner is in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
2.4 Auctions are not open for members of the company, associated companies or friends & family members to participate.

3. Bidding, Buying and Withdrawal

3.1 to be eligible as a winner, the entrants must have paid the entry fee and prior to receipt of the prize, pay the final winning bid that they placed. This may require written proof from your phone service provider that all bids have been paid for.
3.2 This contest is conducted by text communication. We will attempt to confirm whether your bid is the lowest unique bid, or when it is no longer the lowest unique bid via text. However once a response has been sent to your mobile service provider for delivery, we accept no responsibility should any text not be received.
3.3 We reserve the right to withdraw any item not sold 14 days after the auction closing date.
3.4 We will attempt to notify the winner as soon as possible, at the end of an auction cycle. We reserve the right to publicize successful bids.
3.5 We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to change items and/or to substitute alternative items and to increase the number of items available in each Lot and/or amend the descriptions at any time.
3.6 We reserve the right to award the Lot to the lowest unmatched bid received. In the event the lowest unique bidder cannot be contacted, within 60 minutes of the auction closing, we reserve the right to award the lot to the next lowest unmatched bid.
3.7 In the event of there being no unmatched bids, we reserve the right to award the Lot to the lowest paired bid received first.
3.8 For any item requiring delivery, unless otherwise stated, please allow 30 days from the date that we receive payment. Items such as motor vehicles, requiring registration, must be registered in the confirmed lowest bidder’s name, and collection or delivery completed within 5 working days of notification that the item is available.

4. Fees and Proceeds of Sale

4.1 the cost of entry is £1.50 per bid.
4.2 The entry fee shall be payable directly from your phone bill via SMS
4.3 each entry will be treated as a request to place a bid (or bids). In our absolute discretion, we reserve the right to refuse any bid requests that we deem to be outside these terms & conditions and will refund the payment.
4.4 The winning bidder will be notified via the contact details you have provided.
4.5 The winning bidder will then have 72 hours to decide whether they wish to go ahead with the winning bid at the price they have offered.
4.6 If after we have informed the bidder they have won, they decide not to proceed, no further action will be required. If we have not heard from the winner within 72 hours of notifying them by telephone, we reserve the right to assume you will not accept.
4.7 If you do confirm to us that you wish to proceed with a winning bid then you will be making a binding commitment to pay the amount you have offered within 5 working days. Acceptance and delivery as detailed in 3.8 above.
4.8 Unless otherwise agreed payment for winning bids must be made by cherub, bankers draft or bank transfers.

Note: We reserve the right to invalidate an entry if we find that a winner is in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions.

Contest Rules – The Secret Song

The following Terms and Conditions shall apply to the contest known as The Secret Song in conjunction with any specific terms and conditions published as part of CN Radio’s general contest rules. A copy of our general terms and conditions for contests is normally displayed on our website(s) or are available via SAE or via email on request [email protected]

a) You'll need to register for your chance to win the cash jackpot by calling the advertised registration line- Calls cost 35p, mobiles may vary and you must land on a lucky line.
b) All contestants chosen to guess the Secret Song are those who have called the number above to register to play, and are chosen at random in line with the advertised promotion of the competition.
c) You may enter(register) more than once.
d) The daily cash jackpot prize is as broadcast for each contest..
e) If the any of the competition rules have been broken or the answer has been revealed to contestants by any third party, the prize may be withdrawn.
f) Entrants agree that by entering they agree to publicity should they win a prize.
g) CN Radio cannot be held responsible for any loss that may be incurred by listeners attempting to enter competitions
h) The Station Director’s decision will be final and no correspondence entered into.
i) CN Radio reserve the right to alter or amend these rules at any time and to suspend the competition or cancel the competition at any time.

All participants in any CN radio competition will be deemed to have understood these rules, and to be bound by them. All participants in the competition shall accept and enter into the competition subject to these terms and conditions and our general contest terms and conditions.
