Snow disruption

Thursday, January 7th 2010 00:00

The wintery weather continues to cause problems across Rugby.

Schools

Hundreds of schools across Warwickshire are shut again today.

Full details of all the current school closures are on our homepage.

Bins

There's  disruption to bin collection services again in Rugby.

The Borough Council say because of icy conditions, the heavy collection vehicles will not be collecting from side roads.

The council will re-examine the situation later today and make a decision on whether collections can be made tomorrow.

Those residents who were due to have their black bins collected today are urged to put their black bin out again next week.

There will be no green bin collections next Thursday.

Those residents expecting their blue-lidded bins to be collected are urged to put those bins out on Tuesday and Wednesday next week for collection.

Other

People are being told to refrian from playing on frozen ice at Newbold Quarry as they could fall through.
