Ceramics classes on August 14th &ndash; August 15th, at the Rugby Arts Gallery &amp; Museum. The event is from 10:15-3:00pm. The class will cost &pound;35 for the two days and will is for the ages of 8-11 years old and will give the children the opportunity to experiment with clay creating decorative bowls, plates and sculptures.</strong><br />

  <title>Today&apos;s Breakfast Show...</title>
  <description><![CDATA[<p><span style="line-height: 1.6;">Are you ready for change? Ladbrokes were offering odds of 8/1 on May becoming the hottest on record but it&#39;s the end of the glorious weather! Over in Brighton almost all of the town&rsquo;s 3,000 deckchairs were checked out and 200 hotels reached capacity at the weekend but it&#39;s all change this week. Thunder and lightning are forecast to end Britain&rsquo;s mini heatwave towards the end of this week with temperatures dropping to 16C by Wednesday.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="line-height: 1.6;">Do you have a &quot;thing?&quot; I think I&#39;ve discovered a new &quot;thing.&quot; I&#39;ve become obsessed with grooming. My girlfriend doesn&rsquo;t own a brush, so I bought her one and every time I see her I start combing her hair, she likes it, and yesterday I spent almost an hour on my cat Thomas! I was covered in ginger fluff by the end of it, the grass in the back garden had gone ginger!&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height: 1.6;">I really find it therapeutic and calming...</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">Did you witness three armed men with guns raiding a shop in Park Road, Rugby? Three men wearing dark clothing and gloves restrained the shopkeeper at Premier Stores on Park Road on Sunday evening. He wasn&#39;t hurt but the robbers made off with cash and cigarettes.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">In speedway, the Bees lost out in a narrow defeat away at Wolverhampton last night.</span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.6;">They lost 47-43, and claim a single Elite League point because of the narrow scoreline. The Brandon based side have a another away trip tomorrow night - this time to Poole.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">More roadwork congestion today! As another round of work starts at Toll Bar Island between Rugby and Coventry - the Highways Agency are promising they&#39;ll get it done as quickly as they can. A stretch of road near the A46 turn off is closing overnight until Saturday, so drainage work can be finished. It&#39;s part of an ongoing scheme to overhaul the roundabout.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="line-height: 1.6;">Warwickshire Police are warning people to be on their guard after a rise in phone scams. In one case a resident was nearly conned out of 45 thousand pounds by someone claiming to be from the bank. Officers say our bank will never ask for PIN numbers on the phone and we should hang up on anyone who asks us for it. There&#39;s more on this story on our app.</span></p>

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">A controversial scheme to get gas out of the ground near Ryton could still go ahead. Earlier this week, we told you Cluff Natural Resources had suggested to one of the county&#39;s MPs they were having second thoughts about their plans. But the firm say Underground Coal Gasification could still happen - but they&#39;ll need permission from the Council first.</span><br />

Warwickshire Police are warning people to be aware of what they&#39;re calling a cyber crime &#39;onslaught&#39;. <span style="line-height: 1.6;">A major inquiry looking at plans for a new business park near Ryton&#39;s expected to come to an end today. It&#39;ll be months before a planning inspector delivers his verdict on the scheme known as the Coventry Gateway. Opponents fear it&#39;ll cause lorries to clog up local roads and dispute whether the site close to the Airport will deliver the 7 thousand jobs developers say it will.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">Rugby&#39;s MP says it&#39;s taking too long to diagnose a rare medical condition. Breathing can be so difficult for people with Alpha 1 that they struggle to walk. <p>Congratulations to all our finalists and winners at Friday night&#39;s Pride of Rugby Awards. For a list of the winners check out the highlight video on our Facebook page. We raised a whopping &pound;2490 for our chosen charity Warwickshire Young Carers!</p>

<p>On Saturday I enjoyed my Christmas present from Catia... A Bungee catapult at Tatton Park near Manchester... Oh boy what a ride! I was strapped into the harness, stretched and then released 60 metres into the air... Going up was great, free-falling was a complete new experience! <span style="line-height: 1.6;">An energy expert&#39;s cast big doubts on plans to get gas from underground coal supplies near Rugby. Cluff Natural Resources say the process they want to use - setting fire to coal under land near Ryton is safe. Energy advisor Paul Mobbs says the technique, known as Underground Coal Gasification&#39;s been tried before but hasn&#39;t worked.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">Overnight work starts next week to improve the A423 at Ryton. The slip road coming off the A45 - near the Ryton Industrial Estate - needs resurfacing. It&#39;ll be closed to motorists on week nights between 8pm and 6am, beginning next Monday.</span></p>

  <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve become a father again! The newly hatched Blackbird - chicks in my loft are chirping for food every ten minutes! I saw the parents outside yesterday morning and they looked exhausted. They are constantly bringing in food for their little ones... And boy do they make a lot of noise when they&#39;re feeding! I do feel rather proud today.</p>

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">A 12 year old Rugby lad&#39;s travelled to America for pioneering cancer treatment. Adrian Secareanu (SECK-AH-REE-AH-NOO) from Overslade left for Florida on Friday, to get proton laser therapy for rare tumours in his neck and jaw.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">The treatments last for 3 months and&#39;ll cost 10 thousand pounds - a link to his justgiving page&#39;s on our Facebook.</span><br />

We spent the whole day sitting in a fold out deck chairs... I&#39;m sure this is the reason why our grandparents make such a lot of noise when they get out of their seats... Deck chairs should carry a health warning on them!</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">A woman and a teenage girl have been seriously injured following a crash in Rugby.&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height: 1.6;">A van and a car collided in Collingham Lane in Broadwell yesterday lunchtime.&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height: 1.6;">The woman - aged 58 - had suffered pelvic injuries and had to be cut from the car by fire fighters. A 17 year suffered facial injuries.</span></p>

<p><span style="line-height: 1.6;">The head of a Rugby school says their nomination in our Pride of Rugby awards is down to the great team work staff there do. Brooke School is up for Educator of the Year when Rugby FM hosts its glittering annual celebration of the area&#39;s best and brightest on Friday. Head teacher Chris Pollitt says the fact they&#39;re included in the event at the Dunchurch Park Hotel still hasn&#39;t sunk in.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">The Principal of Warwickshire College&#39;s spoken out against schools putting-in metal detectors to catch anyone carrying a knife. Her comments follow the death of a teacher stabbed to death at a school in Leeds earlier this week - allegedly by a pupil.&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height: 1.6;">Marianne Cavalli says introducing the machines wouldn&#39;t be the right response.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">We could find out in the next two months whether a company will be allowed to drill for gas near Ryton and Princethorpe. Campaigners fighting the plans expect a ruling by then, and say they&#39;ll decide their next move once it&#39;s made. They claim extracting gas by setting fire to coal underground will cause polution - but the company behind the idea insists it&#39;s safe.</span></p>

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">People from Rugby who died in the First World War will be remembered this weekend. Final preparations are being made for a trip to Ypres (eep) in Belgium where many local soldiers fought in battles. It&#39;ll be led by Rugby&#39;s mayor Tony Gillias who&#39;ll take part in a parade and lay a wreath commemorating those who lost their lives.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="line-height: 1.6;">It looks like Rugby Town will still be playing in the Southern Division One Central next season. They lost their play-off semi-final to Slough Town 3-0 last night. Slough go on to play Kettering in Monday&#39;s final.</span></p>

Part of the West Coast Mainline&#39;s being closed at Watford because of work to upgrade the track. <span style="line-height: 1.6;">DIRFT workers think there could be a nasty accident down Crick Road if the County Council doesn&#39;t put in a proper footpath. At the moment those who walk to work from Hillmorton have to use a muddy track or risk using the road. Town MP Mark Pawsey says he&#39;s been contacted by people concerned about it - and wants action taken.</span><br />

<span style="line-height: 1.6;">Rugby&#39;s Ashlawn School wants to build 10 new classrooms. They say it would help them cope with increasing demand for places there. They&#39;ve put in an application to the Borough Council and hope to have them built by the start of the new school year in September.</span></p>
