
Police are appealing for witnesses and the public’s help to identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision in Rugby yesterday morning (Wednesday, 13 November).
The incident happened at around 6.10am when a male cyclist is believed to have collided with a Nissan Micra just off the A426 Leicester Road roundabout, on the entrance road to Tesco.
The cyclist, a man in his 20s, sustained minor injuries to his arm and was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been released.
The driver of the Nissan Micra initially stopped to check the cyclist's condition and as it seemed that there were no serious injuries, he went on his way without leaving any contact details. Officers are keen to identify the driver and car, ton establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dash-cam footage or has information about the Nissan Micra vehicle involved that could help with enquiries, is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 238 of 13 November.
