Police and emergency services were called to the Blue Pool in Bishops Itchington at around 6.30pm on Thursday (26 July) after concerns were raised for a boy who was reported to have entered the water.
The following morning a body was recovered from the water and it has since been confirmed to be that of Luke Murphy (pictured).
Paying tribute to the 17-year-old from Daventry, his parents said: "Luke was kind, bright and loving.
"He was liked by all who met him and brought happiness to everyone that knew him. We were proud to have called him our son."
The family have asked that their privacy be respected at this time.
