Two people have been charged after a man was injured in Rugby.
Police were called to reports of a shooting in School Street on Saturday afternoon - a man had been struck over the head and was taken to hospital but its not believed a gun on the scene was actually fired.
Two people were arrested and have now been charged.
30-year-old Peter Ellery of Railway Terrace in Rugby has been charged with:
- Affray
- Criminal damage to property under £5000
- Two counts of Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
- Possessing an imitation firearm in a public place
34-year-old Kristy Perkins of School Street, Rugby was charged with:
- Affray
- Criminal damage to property under £5000
- Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
They both appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 18 June).
